You don't need to have it all figured out

Which is fortunate, because who does? Join us for a few days of yoga, lakeside living and fresh possibilities. Drawing on the yogic quality of sthira, or steadiness, we'll explore stability that doesn't depend on everything staying the same.

Through asana, pranayama and a little philosophy, expect familiar poses with unexpected discoveries, room to try something different, and permission not to get it right the first time. Between sessions enjoy delicious food, great company and time by the water.

Come curious. We'll begin there, then we'll add creativity, receptivity, and a sense of adventure.

Led by Stephanie Tencer

Stephanie is the director and principal teacher at Toronto's Studio Po. She is deeply moved by the playfulness and self-discovery inherent to Iyengar Yoga and loves weaving these themes into her classes.

The retreat is geared to students with at least a year of consistent Iyengar yoga practice.

After they got home…

  • By the end of the retreat, I felt strong, confident, and back on track with my practice. The classes were brilliantly structured to gradually build our strength and confidence, culminating with me doing headstands and handstands, something I never thought possible!

    Carol C - Toronto, ON

  • During this retreat I strongly felt how deepening my understanding of the basics and simply spending more time on the mat, can propel me forward into more challenging poses. All of the sudden, I found myself in a handstand for the very first time! This was a real highlight for me!

    Herbert Z - Houston, TX

  • Thank you for a wonderful retreat! I very much enjoyed the classes, the retreat center and the surrounding environs were beautiful. The very best part was the wonderful community and especially my very special roommate who I had just met, and now feel a budding friendship developing.

Patti M - San Francisco, CA

  • After I got home, I was shocked by how much it had seeped into my practice - My poses seemed magically deepened; the yoga came not easier but better. I'm grateful in body and mind for the gifts of the retreat - can't wait till next year.

    Joanne K - Toronto, ON
